Description:
Wagon Wheel Quilt made in 1900. The Ladies' Club of Granite, Oregon decided to piece a Wagon Wheel Quilt to be raffled off in order to raise money for the club. Molly Dickison Judy's father A.J. Dickison won the quilt. It cost 50 cents to have the family name embroidered on the hub of a wheel, 15 cents for the spokes, and 25 cents for the rim. Outline Quilting. 16 blocks measuring 16" across each. Background is white muslin, blue and red wagon wheels. 2 ends have a saw tooth border with a solid blue band. Sleeve sewn onto back for display. Bias tape binding that has been added by machine, stitching has come loose in a few places. Thin cotton batting. Back is all white muslin.
