Blocks are 16" square, machine pieced dresden plate. Hand appliqued with embroidery stitches
Blocks are individually embroidered with names, probably of the makers, all different names. Some blocks have dates, the date is 1933. Names are readable.
All cotton
Background fabric is muslin
Pieced fabric is multicolored scraps of cotton
Centers of the dresden plates are circles of cheddar cotton.
Plates and center circles are not uniform in size.
5 blocks down and 4 across.
No lattice, binding, or batting.
Finished by turning the top under and machine stitching.
