Foundation pieced quilt block. 23 cherry motifs embroidered on black wool with an embroidered diamond grid. Foundation piece is silk. 3 small red pom poms which form the cherries within each grid. Green and red wool embroidery floss used, green for leaves and stems and red feather stitch for the diamond grid. Unfinished. Made between 1900—1925.
