Skate, ice; steel blade and shoe support; "HARDENED" stamped on side of blade; "Pattented Feb. 18, 1884, Mar.1 1887, Aug. 12 1890" stamped on ball of foot plate; "B&B" stamped on lever that tightenes skate to shoe; leather ankle strap with metal buckle; purchased by Dick Haynes in 1975 with large lot of items in basement of Palmer Store at 1801 Main Street. John & LaVelle Palmer lived at 1504 4th St. in Baker City and both died in 1975. Their son, who lived in France, came to sell the contents of the store.
