1863 Springfield Army Rifle. This Rifle was used in the Civil War as a muzzle loader, 58 cal, by both sides. Aprox. 4 million were used. After the war the left over rifles were returned to Springfield and made into Breech Loaders, 45—70cal. copper cartridge or 410 shotgun.
