Description:
Ornately carved wooden chair with arms. The four legs are connected front and back with bars, two front and two back (the back are riveted). The underside has metal supports and a white cloth that covers the stuffing and springs, which is nailed to the frame. The feet are rounded in front and square in the back. The front curve up into the arm rest and connect to the back of the chair with round Knobs. The chair's seat is apolstered with a embroidery fabric decorated with flowers in the center (the fabric doesn't look original to chair design) The fabric is fastened to the frame with metal tacks/studs. The chair's back rest also has purple fabric as well as the chair's arm rests, all of which are attached with studs. The chair's arms are caved with circular edging with gold metal (which is a different color that the studs). The chair's back rest is cut out at the base with a three leaf pattern; 9 alternating up and down. The top has carved out ornate crosses that loop at intersections, with fillagree and metal ornamentation. There is a flat section with a black berry bass relief in a wood rosin (also appears to be a later addition and doesn't match the chairs design) The back of the chair has either faded red wool fabric or brown, very different from the front, but with the same tacks.
