Description:
1927 Quilt embroidered with the names of the residents of Richland, Oregon in 1927. Won in a raffle by Will Sanders. Mattie Moody received the quilt from Will Saunders and then passed it to her grandaughter Raedelle Heckman and grandson Eddie Wiedler. Approximately 600 names are on the quilt. Name blocks are 10.5" square, each block has 12 names embroidered on it in blue floss. Blocks are plain white muslin with embroidered names. Inner 3" blue border and outer 2.5" white border around all edges. Thin batting, machine pieced and quilted. 6 blocks X 7 blocks. No binding, knife edge finish. Back is completely white muslin.
