Unlined pages. Edges of pages are gilded. Diary entries are in black or blue ink or in pencil. Date at top of each page in blue printing. Loose ivory, satin ribbon marker that originally was attached to binding. Diary has info. on crops, livestock, personal activities and reflections, tables & quantities of water discharged over weirs. No locale or geographic information obvious. Wedding & birth info,1843—1938, in back of diary. Clipping from newspaper or a book on gestation table pasted to last page of book. Back flyleaf is 1910 calendar, front flyleaf=1909 calendar. Back side of back page has postage rates.
