Description:
Green fabric bound book . The front Cover is Plain. The spine has gold embossed lettering and reads: "Teaching The Common Branches, Charters Houghton Milfin Co". The back cover is plain green. Inside on the cover page is cursive writing in pencil, illegible possibly a list of Books and their authors. The title page has a pencil marking on the top right: "150" and reads: "Teaching The Common Branches: A Textbook for Teachers of Rural and Graded Schools, By W.W. Charters Ph.D, Professor of Theory of Teaching & Dean of the School of Education University of Missouri" there is also a pastoral image or seal of Pan with latin. Boston, New York, Chicago, Houghton Milfin Company, The Riverside Press, Cambridge. copyright 1913 by W.W. Charters & The Riverside Press Cambridge MA USA. Hand written notes throughout , on the back cover states: "Ask Burtha B. she has been absent for a long time and is just fine at that. I am not worth a cent telling stories and would be scared to death before Mrs. S."
