Oct. 2, 1866. This is to certify that I John Fenton am to charter the Auburn toll road which belongs to C. E. Place which for the same I give pay nothing which is a gift and I am to put land made in good purpose and for and for no other use other than a toll road from Baker City to Auburn and for no other purpose and to take tolls, and if I abrogate this, I forfeit my rite to the same.
