Description Smurthwaite family photos. Family members include Angela, Gordon, James, Amelia, James Jr, Jesse and his wife, Zina who lived at 345 2nd St and Zella, who lived at 2285 Orchard. Jesse was the Press Man for the Baker City Herald and Zina wrote for the paper and also took photographs. The family took many pictures of the Sumpter Valley Railroad which are included in this series of photos. The family also enjoyed picnicing and camping. Unfortunately the names of the people in the pictures are mixed or lost.
