Description In the beginning, interest in skiing was developed by Sunday excursions over the S.V.R.R. to Larch Mountain and Boulder Gorge. Evergreen ski club. Road Sumpter Valley Railroad to Larch Mountain got on train in Baker. People in ski group 1 are Earl Hage in front, Gert and Erna Newberger on extreme right, Herman David and Fren Putman in middle taken between 1945-48.
