Description Sagamore Hotel, located where present day Ace Hardward sits, northeast corner of Court and Third Street, Baker City. Newspaper photo: "This is the Sagamore, famed old hotel in Baker, as it was photographed some time in the latter part of the 19th century by M. M. Hazeltine. There were three porches on three levels. Traveling in those days was by horsedrawn vehicle, excepting railroads and the man-powered chain-drive velocipede (in center on ground level)."
