Description 
Daniel B. Conger vs. C. L. Pierce, lawsuit. Daniel B. Conger was employed as an express carrier March 29, 1869, to be paid $8 per trip from Gimletville to the south fork of the John Day and back, plus $3 per diem for each trip. Plaitiff is in arears of payment $342.00, animal provisions at a cost of $103,50. Other expenses total a full sum of $623.50 due to plaintiff. Filed April 28, 1869 before Joseph H. Shinn, clerk. The bill of itemized items totals $383.00. Matter unresolved in these pages.
