Description Northern Oregon Military Road Company Articles of Incorporation, October 14, 1862, Filed September 23rd, 1864 by CM Foster, Clerk and WL Chittendon, Deputy. Second filing in Clerks Office, Baker County September 26th. 1864. Company Officers: RB Sullivan, BA Stockton, D Payton, AB Meachum, M Baker. Business located in LaGrande. Capital stock $30,000. Shares fixed at $250. Route for the road is from The Dalls City, Wasco County, crossing the Blue Mts thru LaGrande to terminate on the Oyhee River. Also included a railroad along the same route. Vouched for by SD Reinhart, Justice of the Peace, Baker County on September 22nd, 1864.
